Saniflo Saniplus Macerating Upflush Toilet Kit Review

Saniflo Saniplus Macerating Upflush Toilet Kit Review

Saniflo Saniplus Macerating Upflush Toilet Kit includes SaniPLUS macerating bathroom pump white toilet bowl (standard), white toilet tank. The Saniflo Macerating toilet is called Bathroom anywhere because this toilet system can be used in locations for example in a basement where a standard flush toilet is impractical.

This toilet system is quite different to most standard toilets because unlike conventional flushing system that flushes directly into the drainage system it uses up a flush mechanism that pumps the waste upwards after breaking it down into simpler molecules by a macerator.

This toilet system does not require a separate effluent pump for each water-based device in the bathroom. Because Saniflo up flush toilet can discharge gray water from a sink, a bathtub, a shower, a urinal and other sanitary fixtures with only modifications to the connections making it a Bathroom anywhere toilet.

Macerating Upflush Toilet is particularly useful for installing in some uncommon places for example in your basement thanks to its unique discharging system. Unlike standard toilet models, Upflush toilet can forcefully discharge waste both in upward and horizontal direction. It can expel waste that can travel as high as 15 feet above when considering upward discharge or it can discharge waste horizontally that can go 150 feet horizontally.

You need a plumber to install an Upflush toilet. To install this type of toilet, you require four connections. These are given below:

  • The macerating/pump connects to spigot part of an horizontally placed outlet toilet
  • The toilet tank has a connection with the central water supply of the house.
  • A small diameter discharge pipe is connected to the pump or macerator
  • The macerator or pump has a connection with the electrical supply line of the property.

The toilet has high-efficiency cleaning system because it uses a mechanism to grind and blend the human’s solid waste into slurry one for easy moving to drain pipe.

But how this Bathroom anywhere works? The two main parts of this toilet is a pressure chamber and a powerful motor. The motor is strong enough to drive macerator blades which are made of stainless steel and a pump. Upon pressing the flush button, water and biodegradable waste material fill the pressure chamber. The macerator blades are then starting to rotate forcefully. The blades rotation power is 3600rpm. Such powerful rotation causes the waste material to shred into a slurry.

At the same time, the impeller picks up all the grains and pumps into the discharge line. Once the motor turns off the system stops pumping out the waste, and the non-return valve closes not allowing the granular waste is coming back into the system. This concludes complete operation of the system.

Our Remarks

The Saniflo Macerating Upflush Toilet that is more commonly known as Bathroom anywhere but any attempt to find some similarity between an Upflush toilet and standard design toilet would be wrong . Because this toilet is specially made for use under certain circumstances where setting up a regular toilet would be either impossible or expensive .. It flushes only 1.6 gallons per flush but effectively removes all waste. The only problem that needs to address here is the installation of this Bathroom anywhere is more complex than with a standard flush toilet.

In this macerating toilet reviews, we have tried to cover all the aspects of the toilet like what it includes, how it works and the drawback as well. Finally, this toilet is an amazing choice if you do not have much space or you need to set up a toilet that is far away from the main sewerage line.
